According to Massachusetts General Law (MGL) Chapter 110, Section 5, any person conducting business in the Commonwealth under any title other than the real name of the person conducting the business is required to register their business with the Town. Filing a Doing Business As (DBA) certificate costs $30 and the certificate is good for four years. Forms are available from the Town Clerk's Office and all signatures on the form must be notarized or witnessed by the Town Clerk's Office.
