Overview

The Bikeways Committee welcomes all users of Chatham’s bikeways and encourages them to take advantage of the unique experience of bicycling in Chatham. We continually strive to make that experience even more enjoyable and value your input. This site offers a way to do that and also provides cycling information for Chatham and elsewhere on Cape Cod. We hope you have a safe and pleasant ride.

Responsibilities

The charge of the Bikeways Committee:

  • To suggest rules governing the Bike Path
  • To suggest the implementation of those rules
  • To recommend additional local connections
  • To recommend connections to other Towns
  • To maintain bicycle safety and education programs
  • To represent Chatham at Regional Bike Path Groups

Submitting Electronic Correspondence

Please submit correspondence to the Staff Liaison. Please note that all such electronic correspondence is considered a public record. Correspondence containing requests for public records will be responded to by the Staff Liaison in compliance with Massachusetts General Law (MGL) Chapter 66, Section 10 within 10 days of receipt. All other correspondence and materials submitted will be forwarded by the Staff Liaison to the Board/Committee Chair, with a copy to Members/Commissioners and person sending request/comment, for potential scheduling of discussion on an upcoming public meeting agenda.
