Phase 1D-2A-Route 137 - Morton Road Sewer Extension Project

Gravity and Pressure Sewer Areas

This project is being funded under the Massachusetts Clean Water State Revolving Fund Program (CWSRF #4516) and USEPA. 

General Contractor: C.C. Construction, Inc.

Contract Bid Price: $8,478,406.60

As sewer installation is completed, contractor will be installing lateral services and following this work these areas may still require site restoration, final paving and cleanup.

• Mill Hill Road
• Morton Road (from Tirrells Way to the Bike Path)
• Meetinghouse Road/Rt 137 (from Route 28/Main Street to Stage Coach Drive)
• Middle Road (from Meetinghouse Road to the Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) rear entrance)
• Twine Field
• The Bike Path (between Morton Road and the WPCF)

Temporary water services may be required on these and other street depending on utility conflicts.  In addition there may be water service replacements made on these or other roads identified for sewer work to replace old steel services.

Queen Anne Pumping Station Upgrade Project 

Pumping Station and Force Main Replacement Areas

This project is being funded under the Massachusetts Clean Water State Revolving Fund Program (CWSRF #6768) and USEPA. 

General Contractor: C.C. Construction, Inc.

Contract Bid Price: $2,103,000.00

This project will include the replacement of the existing pumping station on Queen Anne Road built in the late 1960's to a new pumping station across the street.  This will also include the replacement of approximately 600 linear feet of force main located within Queen Anne Road, between Oyster Pond Furlong and Adams Lane.  Work will occur on:

• Existing pumping station site (Chatham Market Parking Lot)
• Oyster Pond Furlong at the intersection with Queen Anne Road
• Queen Anne Road, between Oyster Pond Furlong and Adams Lane

Crowell Road Phase 2 and Chatham Fish Pier Infrastructure Project

This project is being funded under the Massachusetts Clean Water State Revolving Fund Program (CWSRF #6772) and USEPA.

General Contractor: N&M Excavating LLC

Contract Bid Price: $2,683,952.71

As sewer installation is completed, contractor will be installing lateral services and following this work these areas may still require site restoration and cleanup.

• Crowell Road (from Lake Street to Tip Cart Lane)

Stormwater Improvements

The Town is also installing new stormwater systems in the following areas:

• Crowell Road
• Tip Cart Lane
• Shore Road
• Barcliff Avenue
• Barcliff Avenue Extension

Temporary water services may be required on other street depending on utility conflicts.  In addition there may be water service replacements made on other road but identified for sewer work to replace old steel services.

Gas Utilities

National Grid will be relocating a natural gas main on Crowell Road along with the associated services.

Phase 1E-Stony Hill/Crowell Road

As sewer installation is completed, contractor will be installing lateral services and following this work these areas may still require site restoration and cleanup.

• George Ryder Road South (Fron Rt 28 to Rumson Way)
• Market Place
• Hardings Lane
• Stony Hill Road (from Lake Street to Enterprise Drive)
• Enterprise Drive (entrance)
• Chatham Housing Authority (from Stony Hill Road to existing sewer)

Stormwater Improvements

The Town is also installing new stormwater systems in the following areas:

• Crowell Road
• Lake Street
• Stony Hill Road

Water Main Work

In addition, water main work will occur on portions of the following roads:

• Crowell Road (near Lake Street)

This work will include relocation water main and connection of water services.

Temporary water services may be required on other street depending on utility conflicts.  In addition there may be water service replacements made on other roads not listed under water main work, but identified for sewer work to replace old steel services.
