Current Airport Projects 

The Airport Commission is currently involved in several projects to improve safety and security, and to maintain the airport facility. Some projects are being undertaken to ensure the airport is in compliance with FAA and MassDOT Grant Assurances. Other projects are to maintain the current infrastructure, while others are focused on making the airport self-sustaining and more energy efficient. 

Current Projects Involve: 

  • Obstruction Removal for Runways 6-24. 

  • Upper Air Inflation Building – Working with NOAA to establish a weather Balloon launch site.

  • ADA Compliance

  • Jet-A Fuel Farm 

  • Two Additional Hangars 

  • EVTOL Charging Infrastructure
